Now,diffraction gratings are widely used for pulse compression in Chirped Pulse Amplification(CPA) laser systems. High diffraction efficiency, high wavefront quality and high damage threshold are essential characteristics for these gratings.

Using holographic interferometry, ion etching technology and coating technology can make surplus ultra-short laser system needs of large diameter pulse compression grating, such as: multilayer film dielectric gratings, gold-plated grating, etc. Rational parameters of grating microstructure design, precision of holographic interference light field stability control technology, gold-plated grating in more than 90% of the diffraction efficiency can be obtained at 800 nm, multilayer film dielectric gratings in 1.053 um, more than 95% of the diffraction efficiency can be obtained.
